Summer activities

Hochsauerland is the land of 1,000 mountains, where there is something for everyone. You don’t have to think only about sporting activities, because Sauerland also has a lot to offer for those who like to take it easy.

But if you are someone who wants to be active on your holiday, then you have come to the right place. Grönebach is in the middle of a hiking area, with countless hiking trails.

About 1 km away is the famous Rothaarsteig hiking trail, less than 2 km away is the beautiful Ruhrquelle area. If you like heath and open plains, the Hochheide is within walking distance and a little further is the already famous Kahler Asten. Sauerland is known for its good signposting and clear hiking maps.

If you want to see more in a day and are not afraid to cycle up a mountain, the farm is located right on the Bike Arena Sauerland. Through Grönebach comes a fun route, which is doable for young and old. There are even more mountain bike routes in the immediate vicinity, ranging from light to heavy. Also with your racing bike there are many beautiful routes. There are also more and more paved cycle paths in Sauerland, so as a cyclist you don’t have to cycle along busy roads all the time.

For young and old, there is plenty to do. In Grönebach itself, for example, there is a wonderful adventure mini golf course that incorporates all the elements of Winterberg. Adventure minigolf

Winterberg is home to three adventure summer toboggan runs. Two directly below the famous ski jump and one on the erlebnisberg Kappe. At the ski jump there is also a Sky-Fly zip line with two long descents. Sky-Fly line

Of course, the bobsleigh track is well-known in Winterberg, where you go around with a guide in summer and hear the beautiful and exciting stories. A whole Erlebnisberg has been built around the bobsleigh track, offering something for everyone. The panorama bridge for beautiful views over Sauerland and fun climbing elements, the summer toboggan run with the mini-golf and eurobungee, the climbing park where you go through like a real Tarzan and, of course, not forgetting Europe’s best and most beautiful bike park. If the weather is not so good one day, there is still plenty to do indoors. Sauerland is known for its beautiful ore mines, its many castles and museums. In Medebach and Willingen you have a large swimming paradise. For the little guests there is an indoor playground in Winterberg.

It is almost impossible to mention what there is to do in the immediate vicinity of Grönebach, not to mention the golf courses and amusement parks.
